<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system which can improve a communication speed according to a set carrier and efficiently camp on a subset carrier included in the set carrier. <P>SOLUTION: In a mobile communication system, by individually using a plurality of subset carriers or by using a set carrier assembling the plurality of subset carriers, a mobile terminal corresponding to the subset carrier or a mobile terminal corresponding to the set carrier and a base station perform wireless intercommunication.
