<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by not performing ineffective logging. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 can perform logging by receiving the GPS information in a GPS reception unit 113, calculating the position information based on the received GPS information, and recording the position information on a recording medium, and can execute a logger mode of repeating the logging by actuating the logging at predetermined time intervals. In the logger mode, when the position information cannot be recorded due to a factor other than abnormalities of the GPS reception unit 113, e.g. the state of the recording medium, the remaining amount of a battery, or the like, or when a determination is made that the position information is not changed by external connection of the digital camera 100, a system control circuit 50 controls the system not to perform ineffective logging thus reducing power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
