<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently and surely producing a glass fiber reinforced plastic having excellent electric insulation by surely performing the detection of conductive foreign matter contained in a glass roving. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method of producing the glass fiber reinforced plastic using the glass roving 2, wherein the glass roving 2 is formed by winding roll-like a strand 1 comprising a plurality of glass filaments. The method comprises an unwinding step of unwinding the strand 1 from the glass roving 2, a passing step of passing the unwound strand 1 through a detector 10, a detecting step of detecting the foreign matter contained in the strand 1 based on a signal of the detector 10, a removing step of selectively removing the strand 1 containing the foreign matter, an impregnating step impregnating the strand 1 passed through the removing step with a resin, and a molding step of molding the strand 1 which has been impregnated with resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
