<p>A vaporising device (1) for producing an inhalable aerosol of vaporisable components of herbal matter, such as tobacco, comprises a casing (2) within which a body member (19) of brass is located. The body member (19) defines a vaporising chamber (20) for the herbal matter and a combustion chamber (21) within which fuel gas is converted heat by a catalytic combustion element (23) for heating the vaporising chamber (20). A hollow plug element (55) releasably closes the vaporising chamber (20). A draw tube (73) coupled to the plug element (55) accommodates the aerosol from the vaporising chamber (20) and terminates in a mouthpiece (75). The draw tube (73) is configurable from an active state extending from the casing (2) to an inactive state recessed into a receiving channel (91) to lie flush with an end wall (14) for facilitating carrying of the vaporising device (1) when not in use in a pocket, handbag or the like.</p> |
