<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp unit capable of forming a light-distribution pattern wherein a generation of glare is restrained. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp unit for forming the light-distribution pattern having a designated cutoff line at an upper end includes a light-emitting element 12, a light-transmitting member 20 for projecting the light-distribution pattern ahead while light from the light-emitting element 12 is entered from the rear, and a shielding section 32 arranged between the light-emitting element 12 and the light-transmitting member 20 and shielding a part of the light emitted from the light-emitting element 12. The light-transmitting member 20 emits the entered light entered into the light-transmitting member 20 from the rear from the front surface of the light-transmitting member 20 by reflecting it ahead again at the rear surface 20b of the light-transmitting member 20 after reflecting it to the rear at the front surface of the light-transmitting member 20, and the shielding section 32 shields the light directly turned to the rear surface 20b of the light-transmitting member 20 from the light-emitting element 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
