<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease acceleration/deceleration operation of a driver and the operating load. <P>SOLUTION: A traveling control device includes a holding mechanism 100B. The acceleration or the deceleration is given to a vehicle MM, when detecting that one lever 100A that the driver operates for acceleration and deceleration is operated from a neutral position, and the lever 100A is urged to the neutral position, and in a no operation state, the lever 100A is held at the neutral position.
