<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor for a rotary electric machine that reduces leakage and short circuit of magnetic flux from radially inner ends of permanent magnets and improves torque. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of magnetic poles 24 are circumferentially spaced at intervals on a radially outer edge of a rotor core 12. Each of the magnetic poles 24 includes: a pair of permanent magnets 26 that are circumferentially spaced apart; and a magnetic-flux suppression hole 28 that is formed between respective radially inner ends 27 of the permanent magnets 26 so as to extend radially inward and that regulates flow of magnetic flux. The magnetic-flux suppression holes 28 extend more radially outward with respect to the respective radially inner ends 27 between the respective pairs of the permanent magnets 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
