<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a rotary electric machine that prevents drag torque and thus prevents a reduction in fuel efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling device provides cooling for a rotary electric machine 100 by guiding cooling oil A into a rotatable shaft 58 and feeding the cooling oil A to a stator 50, which is arranged on an outer circumference of a rotor 10 provided fixedly around the shaft 58, by means of centrifugal force generated by rotation of the rotor 10.
