<p>This cage-shaped rotor is provided with: a rotor core wherein a plurality of slots that extend in the axial direction are formed in the peripheral direction; a plurality of conductor bars that are housed in each slot of the rotor core and of which both ends protrude from the end surfaces in the axial direction of the rotor core; and a pair of end rings that are disposed at each end of the rotor core and that each have a plurality of fitting sections to which both ends of each of the conductor bars protruding from the end surfaces in the axial direction of the rotor core fit. Of the conductor bars, the shape on the rotor central axis side of the cross-sectional shape in a plane perpendicular to the axial direction is formed in an arc. In the plane perpendicular to the axial direction, a gap is formed at the rotor central axis side of the fitting sections to which the conductor bars are fitted, and a curved section is formed at the rotor central axis side of the gap. The curved section of each gap contains an arc having a larger radius than the radius of the arc on the rotor central axis side of the conductor bars.</p> |
