<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent saturation of a received signal and artifact to be caused by tap concentration even when the differences in delay between transducers are small. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a plurality of ultrasonic transducers, a plurality of taps, a delay-calculating section, a channel-distributing section, and a delay-processing section. The delay-calculating section calculates a first amount of delay. The channel-distributing section specifies the minimum delay and the maximum delay from among the first amount of delay. The channel-distributing section divides the range from the minimum delay to the maximum delay by the number of taps, and associates them with taps. The channel-distributing section inputs a signal output from an ultrasound transducer to the tap associated with the partial range including the corresponding first amount of delay. The delay-processing section associates the taps with a preset second amount of delay, and performs delay-processing on the signal input in each tap on the basis of the associated second amount of delay. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
