<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously and finely tune the inter-symbol interference amount given to a data signal. <P>SOLUTION: The inter-symbol interference amount given to a data signal is continuously tuned by passing the data signal through a programmable filter 1010 having an adjustable frequency response, and through a fixed filter 1015 having a fixed frequency response such as a PCB trace, a length of cable, and a discrete filter. The programmable filter 1010 can adjust its parameters and therefore its insertion gain or loss, thereby continuously varying and finely tuning the inter-symbol interference amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
