<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having a configuration capable of securing a targeted fixing strength regardless of differences in a kind of paper, thickness, and surface property. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a control unit 400 that derives a deviation from a target fixing strength based on a scrape 30B of a part of the fixed image 30A and a magnitude of density difference information Δ detected by sensors 32 and 33 for detecting densities of both of the fixed image 30A and the scrape 30B, and corrects and controls either of or at least one of fixing conditions (heating temperature, conveyance speed involved in heating time, and applied pressure)for obtaining target fixing strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
