<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed image which a user can easily recognize while a usage amount of a color material is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A PC corrects the concentration of a pixel group (pixel group belonging to a string of x=x1) existing in a near position of a low concentration region 104 to be high in pixel groups belonging to a high concentration region 102 and corrects the concentration of a pixel group (pixel group which does not belong to the string of x=x1) existing in a position distant from the low concentration region 104 to be low. The PC corrects the concentration of a pixel group (pixel group belonging to a string of x=x0) existing in a near position of the high concentration region 102 to be high, and corrects the concentration of a pixel group (pixel group which does not belong to the string of x=x0) existing in a position distant from the high concentration region 102 to be low.
