PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and a video display device in which an output characteristic of an LED light source can be controlled by controlling a junction temperature, and a multi-screen video display device for forming a screen by combining them.

SOLUTION: The light source device includes a drive and control circuit 60 as a drive and control unit that calculates the junction temperature of an LED 10 as a semiconductor light source based on a case temperature and a driving state of a light source drive circuit 50 as a light source driver, and controls the drive of a cooling fan 40 as a cooling device according to the junction temperature.
