<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat transfer rate of fins and to enhance performance of a heat exchanger in the heat exchanger including flat tubes and fins having a heat conduction promotion unit formed therein. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger (30), flat tubes (33) are vertically arranged and planar fins (36) are arranged in the extending direction of the flat tubes (33). The flat tubes (33) are inserted into notches (45) of the fins (36). The section between vertically adjacent notches (45) of the fins (36) functions as a windward plate (70), while the section in the leeward side of the notch (45) functions as a leeward plate (75). A windward-side heat conduction promotion unit (71) comprising protrusions (81 to 83) and louvers (50a, 50b) is provided to the windward plate (70). A leeward-side heat conduction promotion unit (76) comprising a leeward-side protrusion (84) is provided to the leeward plate (75). The leeward-side heat conduction promotion unit (76) is disposed in the leeward side of the notch (45) and overlaps the windward-side heat conduction promotion unit (71) when viewed from the front edge (38) of the fin (36). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
