<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection system having high crime-prevention performance. <P>SOLUTION: An image projection system 10 comprises: a projector 16 to project an image; and a suspension device 18 which rotatably supports the projector 16 and changes a projection direction of the image. The projector 16 has a human sensor 52 to sense a person in front of the same and a camera 50 to photograph the person in front of the same. The projector 16, when set for a crime-prevention mode, starts sensing the person by driving the human sensor 52 while unidirectionally rotating the projector 16 in a horizontal plane. When the human sensor 52 senses the person, the projector 16 regards the person as an intruder, illuminates the intruder by projecting a white solid image towards the same while controlling a direction of the projector 16 so as to place the intruder straight ahead thereof, and photographs the intruder with the camera 50.
