<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device which prevents a detection area from being corrected even when receiving a deletion operation for modifying input which is not made by a key operation error by a user. <P>SOLUTION: A small-sized information input terminal 1 is configured to display a keyboard with a plurality of keys on a touch panel and receive input of symbols corresponding to the respective keys on the basis of a detection result of operation detection areas for the respective displayed keys. The terminal 1 has: a deletion symbol buffer for, when input symbols are deleted by a deletion operation, temporarily storing the symbols; a deletion operation determination unit 11 for determining whether the deletion operation is executed for modifying symbols erroneously input by a key operation error on the basis of the number of symbols different between the symbols stored in the deletion symbol buffer and symbols input after the deletion operation; and a detection area correction unit 15 for, if the deletion operation determination unit 11 determines that the deletion operation is executed for modifying the symbols erroneously input by the key operation error, correcting detection areas of keys corresponding to symbols which are input after the deletion operation and are different from the symbols stored in the deletion symbol buffer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
