<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus employing a contact charging system in which a photoreceptor is charged by applying only a DC voltage to a charging roll, the image forming apparatus suppressing generation of a stripe in an axial direction of the photoreceptor in an image when a toner image is formed by the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: an electrophotographic photoreceptor 31 having a charge transporting layer having a charge mobility of 8.0×10<SP POS="POST">-6</SP>cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/Vs or more in an electric field intensity of 30 V/μm; charging means including a charging roll 32 that rotates while being in contact with the surface of the photoreceptor and has a surface roughness of 8 μm or more and 20 μm or less, in which only a DC voltage is applied to the charging roll to charge the surface of the photoreceptor; electrostatic latent image forming means 26 exposing the surface of the charged photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image; developing means 33 developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photoreceptor with a developer containing a toner to form a toner image; and transfer means 40 transferring the toner image formed on the surface of the photoreceptor onto a recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
