<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet which enhances viewing angle characteristics by efficiently utilizing light from a plasma display panel (PDP), and suppresses the occurrence of ghost, and to provide a display device. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical sheet 10 which is directly laminated on the video projection side of a PDP 2 and has a plurality of layers that control and emit incident light, at least one layer out of the plurality of layers includes an optical functional sheet layer 12 which is provided with: prism portions 16 which can make light transmit therethrough, have approximately trapezoidal cross-sectional shapes, are arranged side by side along a sheet surface, and are formed of a material having refractive index Np; and light absorption portions 13 which can absorb light, are arranged between the prism portions so as to have broad-width bottom faces as cross-sectional shapes on the PDP side and slopes each extending in the direction apart from the PDP on the ends of the bottom faces, and are filled with the material of the refractive index Nb, Np and Nb have such a relationship that a refractive index difference represented by Np-Nb is 0.05 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
