<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide connection structure which connects the end of a wire material wound around the core of a rotary electric machine to a strand as a crossover efficiently at a low cost by using an ultrasonic bonding method, and to provide a method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An insulating connection having a groove, on the bottom surface of which an uneven shape is formed, is provided. The end of a wire material wound around the core of a rotary electric machine and a strand for connection are arranged to overlap in the groove of the connection. Ultrasonic excitation is then performed while pressing the overlapping part of the wire material and the strand through an excitation tool.
