<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and its driving method which suppress variations in a light emission current with low loss, without using a constant current source in a binary drive system. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 1 includes a pixel portion 10 in which a plurality of pixels are arranged. A pixel 10A includes: a thin film transistor switch 11A for switching a conduction state and a non-conduction state based on an input image signal; and organic EL elements 101-104 which rectify a bidirectional current caused by alternately applying a positive voltage pulse and a negative voltage pulse, flow the rectified current to the thin film transistor switch 11A in a single direction, and emit light by the flow of the rectified current when the thin film transistor switch 11A is in the conduction state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
