<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flow meter capable of measuring a flow rate with measurement accuracy higher than a conventional technology. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic flow meter 10 generates magnetic flux in a direction traversing a measurement flow channel 11 by flowing excitation current in exciting coils 13 and 13 through an excitation circuit 14 and generates an electric potential difference between a pair of detection electrodes 12 and 12 depending on a flow rate of fluid. When getting no power supply from an external power source 55, the electromagnetic flow meter 10 is shifted to a power saving measurement mode with relatively low flux density by getting power supply from a battery 20A. When getting the power supply from the external power source 55, the electromagnetic flow meter 10 is shifted to a high accuracy measurement mode with relatively high flux density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
