<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power tool which includes a fixing member in a split housing at a gripping part, thereby having enhanced stiffness. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power tool includes a motor, a cylindrical housing 2 housing the motor, and a trigger switch 10 controlling the drive of the motor. The housing 2 is split at a surface passing through a rotary shaft of the motor, the trigger switch 10 is disposed to be protruded from the split face of the housing 2, and the housing 2 is screwed (34c) in a movable space of the trigger switch 10.
