<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device which blocks intrusion of winds and water, returns to an original state when an earthquake ends even if left and right buildings are shaken by the earthquake, has no need of repair, and is in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The joint cover device includes: a drip cover 8 attached to an upper surface of a skeleton 3 of a lower building so as to be an inclined surface with the upper surface on a counter joint part side surface positioned at the lower part; a joint cover 9 for covering a joint part 2 and a drip cover 8, which is attached to an outer wall surface 3a of a skeleton 3A of a higher building near the upper surface of the skeleton 3 of the lower building; first waterproof means 10 for blocking intrusion of water and winds to the inside from between a distal end of the joint cover 9 and the drip cover 8; and second waterproof means 15 comprising a rod-like weight 13 to be closely attached to the drip cover 8 attached at a part near the joint part side end of a waterproof sheet 12, a weight 35 attached to the joint part side end for energizing the waterproof sheet 12 to the joint part side at all times, and a waterproof sheet energizing mechanism 14 using a coil spring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
