<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start operation at a suitable speed reduction ratio even in both an operation for forward rotation of a motor and operation for reverse rotation of the motor and thereby perform automatic speed reduction. <P>SOLUTION: In a power tool, a gearbox 11 that switches a speed reduction ratio is provided between a motor 10 that is capable of forward and reverse rotation as a rotative power source, and an output unit 12 that is rotatingly driven by the motor 10. The power tool has a control means 13 that controls the gearbox 11 to switch the speed reduction ratio according to workload, and to change the initial setting status of the speed reduction ratio for the gearbox 11 at the beginning of working according to the rotation direction of the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
