<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus enabling acquisition of a high-quality ultrasound image while suppressing the temperature rise inside an ultrasound probe. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic beam Ba having a frequency of Fa is transmitted corresponding to a shallow region A, and an ultrasonic beam Bb having a frequency of Fb that is different from the ultrasonic beam Ba is transmitted corresponding to a deep region B, the number Na of channels simultaneously available for reception for the shallow region A is set to a number smaller than the number Nb of channels simultaneously available for reception for the deep region B, and a same frame is formed by receiving ultrasonic echoes having a frequency corresponding to each of the shallow and deep regions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
