<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus for a vehicle where virtual images displayed on a windshield are hardly missed by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus 1 for the vehicle includes: an object detection unit for detecting a specific object with which AR images being the virtual images are associated; a virtual image acquisition unit for acquiring the virtual images corresponding to the specific object; a display method acquisition unit for acquiring a method for displaying the virtual images; a display unit for displaying the virtual images acquired by the virtual image acquisition unit on the windshield by the display method acquired by the display method acquisition unit; a visually recognized state estimating unit for estimating a visually recognized state around the driver; and a display method modification unit for modifying the display method acquired by the display method acquisition unit according to the visually recognized state estimated by the visually recognized state estimation unit.
