<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact point maintenance method for isolator, capable of removing attachment or insulating coating on a contact point section of an isolator during energization of the isolator. <P>SOLUTION: Vibration is given to contact point sections 15b, 15c of an isolator and a contact surface between stationary contact sections of the contact point sections 15b, 15c and a blade 14 is rubbed to remove attachment adhering to the contact surface or insulating coating formed on a contact point surface.
