<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow separation of both side faces of a cutter post in the ground while rotating an endless chain by making a protrusion length variable corresponding to resistance acting on side blades when the endless chain rotates. <P>SOLUTION: A continuous underground wall excavator has an endless chain 4 provided with drilling blades 3 rotatably wound around the outer periphery of cutter posts 2 installed and supported perpendicularly to a free-traveling base machine 1. Side blades 5 protruding in the inner peripheral direction of the endless chain 4 are provided on the endless chain 4 so as to be positioned on both sides of the cutter posts 2. The protrusion length of the side blades 5 from the endless chain 4 in a plan view in a downward or upward movement state of the side blades 5 accompanying rotation of the endless chain 4 is variable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
