This drum-type washing machine is configured such that during the draining step the draining operation is restarted by rotating a rotation drum (43) in the forward direction, stopping the rotation of the rotation drum (43) when the vibration value of a water tank (42) detected by means of a vibration detecting unit (78) surpasses a threshold value, and then by rotating the rotation drum (43) in the reverse direction. As a consequence, it is possible to prevent abnormities to occur due to unbalance and to prevent the operation from stopping before completing the draining step.
