<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality quiet game medium counting device not causing cost increase, and properly eliminating a game ball clog. <P>SOLUTION: This game medium counting device includes: alignment lanes 5 disposed below a hopper 3 charged with spherical game media, and rolling game media discharged from the hopper 3 to one side while aligning the game media; counting parts 7 counting the game media rolling on the alignment lanes 5; a guide plate 15 which is provided such that the guide plate 15 covers the alignment lanes 5, is energized to an advance position wherein the game media rolling the alignment lanes 5 are blocked and stopped to align in one stage, and is movable to an evacuation position where the blocking and stopping of Pachinko game balls are released; a guide plate drive unit 24 moving the guide plate 15; and a controller 31.
