<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that reliably prevents an abnormal image from being formed during transfer due to flexural rigidity of transfer paper depending on the thickness or the like of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes an image carrying belt 51 carrying a toner image; a contact member 56 having a surface in contact with the image carrying belt to form a transfer nip; feeding means 71 feeding a recording medium toward the transfer nip, and a guide member 65 guiding the recording medium P fed by the feeding means toward the nip. The guide member 65 includes a cantilevered flexible member, and bends at a rocking end having the longest free length to transfer the rear end of the recording medium sufficiently close to the image carrying belt 51, thereby reducing momentum at the contact of the rear end of the recording medium coming in contact with the image carrying belt 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
