PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and highly accurately detect a position of an object.

SOLUTION: A position detecting device 30 includes: an image data obtaining unit 31 for obtaining image data including an object with a fine shaft hole and a marker including the shaft hole; a marker goal image storage unit 32 for storing marker goal image data in which the marker is made to correspond to a goal position; a target goal image storage unit 36 for storing target goal image data in which the shaft center of the shaft hole is made to correspond to the goal position; a marker detection unit 33 for detecting the marker from the image data obtained by the image data obtaining unit 31, by using the marker goal image data; and a target detection unit 37 for detecting the shaft hole from the marker detected by the marker detection unit 33 in the image data obtained by the image data obtaining unit 31, by using the target goal image data.
