PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a device for receiving digital broadcast and recording and reproducing thereof on a recording medium, in which a 3D video under high-speed reproduction sometimes cannot be normally viewed in 3D.

SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device for recording and reproducing a video content comprises a recording and reproducing unit for recording the video content on a recording medium and reproducing the video content recorded on the recording medium. In high-speed reproduction of the video content recorded on the recording medium, the device determines whether the video content to be subjected to the high-speed reproduction includes a 3D-displayable video, and changes a method for the high-speed reproduction on the basis of the determination result.
