<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the front/rear position of a head rest and to securely prevent unlocking at the time of collision. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for adjusting front/rear position of the headrest includes a lower part fixed link 110, a moving link 120, a front link 130 and a rear link 140, and a lock mechanism to lock/unlock forward and rearward movement of the moving link 120. The lock mechanism includes: a gear section 160 including a plurality of gear teeth 160a; a ratchet section 161 with a pawl section 161a engaged with the plurality of gear teeth 160a in a stepwise fashion, according to forward movement of the moving link 120; a first biasing section 162 for biasing the pawl section 161a toward the gear tooth 160a; a cam section 163 which is arranged in parallel with the rachet section 161; a second biasing section 164 for biasing the cam section 163 toward the rachet section 161; and an operation section 165 for rotating the cam section 163 in a separating direction from the rachet section 161. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
