METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDING OF VEGETABLE MATERIAL, AND MOLDING OF VEGETABLE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding of a vegetable material that allows manufacturing of the molding with a uniform mechanical property, and to provide the molding of the vegetable material.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the molding of the vegetable material is provided for manufacturing the molding by supplying a die 10 with a plate material 2 with fiber as a raw material, and allowing the plate material 2 to exhibit flowability by thermo-compression molding with the die 10. In this method, the plate material 2 is arranged in the die 10 so that the fiber direction L of the plate material 2 is orthogonal to an extruding direction P2 in the same plane, and a load is applied to press the arranged plate material 2 to manufacture the molding by side extrusion molding of filling the plate material 2 in a molding space 12 extending sideways with respect to a pressing direction P1 while allowing the plate material 2 to flow through an inflow port 17.
