<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new compounds of the formula: X<SB POS="POST">m</SB>-G-Cl<SB POS="POST">n</SB>, as well as methods for their production. <P>SOLUTION: These constitute multivalent chelator-compounds with an affinity-tag binding to metal-chelator-complexes, which in turn can selectively modify and/or immobilize target molecules by a multitude of probes or functional units.
