<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of restraining charged energy of a power source from being depleted by an unintentional power activation of the electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic clinical thermometer 100 as one example of an electronic device comprises: a main body section 50 with a cut out section 44; an electronic component mounted on the main body section 50; a circuit pattern which is connected with the electronic component and arranged so as to pass through the cut out section 44; a power source section to supply driving power to the electronic component to drive the same; and a power switch 37 to be operated when driving power supply to the electronic component is connected or disconnected. The driving power is not supplied to the electronic component when the electronic clinical thermometer is in a state that the cut out section 44 is not cut. When the cut out section 44 is cut, a portion of the circuit pattern is also cut and the power switch 37 becomes operational to connect or disconnect the driving power supply to the electronic component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
