<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily switch rotation processing and area specifying processing by an intuitively easy-to-understand simple operation using only a pointing device, and to execute them to three-dimensional medical images. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional medical images are acquired and displayed on a display screen W, and an input position and an input operation of a user are received on the display screen, and in the case that the received input position is a center area 6 of the display screen W, the rotation processing is executed to the displayed three-dimensional medical images by the received input operation. In the case that the received input position is an area other than the center area 6 of the display screen W, the area specifying processing is executed to the displayed three-dimensional medical images by the received input operation.
