摘要 Methods, systems, devices, and software are described for indirect lighting objects in 3-D virtual environments, such as in video games. A cube map and ground plane of the environment are translated to a 360-degree latitude-longitude map depicting a view from the position of an object. The lat-long map is blurred using a cosine convolution, and then the blurred lat-long map is converted to a local cube map for the object. The local cube map is then used to determine normal and reflective indirect lighting color on the object cast from the environment.
