<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat panel type light source for transmission lighting device for microscope. <P>SOLUTION: The flat panel type light source for transmission lighting device 100 for microscope which observes a test piece by a microscope is provided with a plate-shape light guide means 110 having a lower side interface, an upper side interface, and side faces 113-116 and at least one light-emitting means 120, 122. The light-emitting means are arranged so as to irradiate light into the light guide means 110 from at least two different directions through the side face as a light incident face, and the light is made to propagate inside the light guide means 110 by total reflection. The total reflection is disturbed by a prescribed method by an element 140 which is in contact with a contact surface on the lower side interface of the light guide means 110, thereby, light is taken out on the upper side interface of the light guide means 110, and the flat portion area on the contact face is smaller than the flat portion area on the lower side interface, and the element 140 to disturb the total reflection directs the reflection of light propagating in the light guide means 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
