<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared detecting device having an improved infrared absorptance, while maintaining the response speed. <P>SOLUTION: An infrared detecting device 1 comprises an infrared absorption part 21 which absorbs infrared. The infrared absorption part 21 includes a first absorption part 30 having an incidence plane 31 which the infrared enters and a plurality of second absorption parts 40 having respective protrusions vertically arranged on the incidence plane 31 of the first absorption part 30.
