<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flushing method of inkjet recording device which, when a print condition is changed, can also change a periodical flushing condition according to the change of the print condition. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes: a conveyance device that conveys a medium; a liquid ejection head that ejects liquid; and a control device that performs a flushing operation of ejecting the liquid to other than the medium at a predetermined interval. The flushing method in the apparatus includes a comparison step of comparing a flushing condition at a previous ejection job with a flushing condition at a present ejection job when the first medium is conveyed based on ejection job data.
