<p>Bulkhead side members (24), which are joined to the front portions of front side frames (11) extending in the front-rear direction and which extend in the vertical direction, and side frame gussets (20), which connect the front side frames (11) and the front portions of wheel well upper members (12), are joined in a T-plane perpendicular to the front-rear axis by means of connection panels (26) comprising plate materials having a right-angled triangle shape in a front view. As a result of the configuration, when a load which moves the front portions of the front side frames (11), the side frame gussets (20), and the front portions of the wheel well upper members (12) in the vertical direction or the left-right direction is applied, the load is supported by the shear force of the connection panels (26) disposed in the T-plane. Thus, the configuration increases the rigidity of the front portion of a vehicle body while an increase in weight is kept to a minimum.</p> |
