<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back-junction solar cell which has improved collection efficiency of electrons and holes. <P>SOLUTION: A solar cell comprises: a semiconductor substrate; a first region 16 of one conductivity type, which is disposed on the back side of the semiconductor substrate; and a second region 17 of the other conductivity type different from the one conductivity type, which is disposed adjacent to the first region 16.
