<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly respond to a user's request. <P>SOLUTION: A function file generation part extracts a noun included in a character string showing a function from a first character file where a software function is described, and generates a function file associated with the function. A probability information generation part extracts a noun from a second character file relating to the software, and generates probability information that makes it possible to calculate a probability of appearance of each of the nouns for each item from an appearance frequency of each item included in the second character file. With respect to all nouns associated with the function file in relation to a predetermined function, a result file generation part specifies all items in the second character file where any one of the nouns is described, from the probability information, and uses the probability information to calculate a probability of being the predetermined function.
