<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of damage to a material such as peeling defect to be performed in a nondestructive manner and to realize a repair which is more effective in terms of time and cost than a conventional technology when repairing the detected damage to the material. <P>SOLUTION: A material inspection/repair device 10A comprises: transmission laser 11 to generate ultrasonic wave by irradiating a composite material 3 composed of one or more layer of thermoplastic resin 1 with laser light; reception laser 12 to obtain reflected light from a surface of the composite material 3 by irradiating the same with the laser light capable of scanning the same; a reception interferometer 16 to detect ultrasonic vibration generated on the composite material 3 as an ultrasonic signal by measuring optical frequency transition generated in the reflected light; an imaging device 18 to generate a three-dimensional image signal of the composite material 3 based on the ultrasonic signal detected by the reception interferometer 16; and repairing laser 21 to irradiate the composite material 3 with the laser light having a wavelength band to be absorbed by the thermoplastic resin 1 included in the composite material 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
