摘要 The liquid crystal display device (100) of this invention has pixels arranged in columns and rows to form a matrix pattern, and includes an active-matrix substrate (10), a counter substrate (20), a liquid crystal layer (30) and a signal line driver (3). The pixels include m kinds of (where m is an even number and m≧4) pixels that display different colors and that are repeatedly arranged in the same order in the row direction. Grayscale voltages of the same polarity are supplied to two of the signal lines (13) of the active-matrix substrate (10), which are adjacent with one of the m kinds of pixels interposed between them. The active-matrix substrate (10) further includes an additional signal line (13D), which is arranged between the two signal lines (13) to run in the column direction and which is supplied with a grayscale voltage, of which the polarity is opposite to the grayscale voltages supplied to the two signal lines (13). The present invention improves the display quality of a liquid crystal display device, of which each picture element is defined by an even number of pixels.
