The invention relates to a landing gear device for semi-trailers or the like, comprising at least one preferably telescopic landing gear (1, 1') that has a fastening head (11) on which the landing gear is mounted on the semi-trailer. A load compensation device (2) on the landing gear (1, 1') allows for lateral compensating movements on the landing gear in case of load variations. As a load compensation device (2), the landing gear (1, 1') is mounted on the fastening head (11) thereof in such a way as to be pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation (21) that runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the semi-trailer.
