Composition comprises piroctone olamine, zinc pyrithione, salicylic acid and fumaric acid. An independent claim is included for a cosmetic process for preventing or reducing the formation of dandruff or for controlling or alleviating the existing dandruff, comprising applying the composition on hairy areas of the body, preferably the scalp, the beard region, the armpits or the genital area and removing the composition after an exposure time of 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
